Alex is the CEO, owner, and founder of Bunch Mental Health Services, Inc.
Alex is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, and earned his Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Alex is a graduate of Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology, and graduated in 2011. Prior to that, Alex graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a Minor in Armenian Studies. Presently, Alex is working towards the completion of his doctorate in Clinical Psychology which is expected to be completed in the next few months.
Alex has experience treating a variety of mental health conditions including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Alex also has experience working with grief and loss issues, anger, divorce, men's issues, and more.
Presently, Alex is working towards the completion of his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology, pending the completion of his dissertation. Alex's dissertation is focused on cyberbullying and the impact cyberbullying has on people, especially adolescents. Alex's research also examines the need for mental health professionals to acquire additional training to properly assess and treat client's that have had cyberbullying experiences.
Alex is very passionate about the work that he accomplishes with his patients, and always strives to help his patients reach their full potential.
Theoretical orientations used are primarily from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. Other treatment modalities may be used as well. Since everyone is different, a personalized treatment plan will be created to best meet the needs of every individual.
